PCT-KUH Trainees Represent Pittsburgh at National Kidney, Urology and Hematology Research Conference
Six trainees from the PCT-KUH training program traveled to Los Angeles this week to attend the 2026 KUHR-TN National Conference, held August 26–27 at the Luskin Conference Center on the UCLA campus.
The conference is an NIH-sponsored annual meeting of trainees, faculty, and mentors from the Kidney, Urology and Hematology Research Training Network (KUHR-TN), bringing together researchers from across the country to share discoveries, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration in translational research.
Representing the program were Mehdi Ramezanpour, Antonio Pereira-Tavares, Garrett Campbell, Natalie Price, Hoimonty Mazumder, and Camille Boufford. The trainees joined peers from NIDDK-funded KUHR-TN member programs nationwide for two days of scientific matchmaking sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities designed to connect emerging researchers with established investigators in kidney, urology, and hematology research.
The conference offered trainees a chance to showcase their work, build cross-institutional connections, and engage with the broader KUHR-TN community as they advance their research training.
